Part of a vibrant 20-stamp booklet celebrating the diversity of American pets, this stamp showcases a photograph of a kitten by Eric Isselée. The first-day-of-issue ceremony was held at the SuperZoo National Show for Pet Retailers in Las Vegas, Nevada, a fitting venue for a release that honors the animals we welcome into our homes. The simple, clean design with a white background focuses all attention on the charm and innocence of the young cat.
